As a means of communication, art underlines and emphasizes precisely those basic, simple truths that are common to all people. I believe that one such simple truth is the struggle for one’s daily bread. It is the prayer that people in all corners of the earth—consciously or unconsciously—whisper in the morning when they wake up and at night before going to bed. I dedicate the exhibition “Our Daily Bread” to the manual labour workers for their daily humble laborious efforts.
